Having come from a background in social care, we at Dusty Knuckle are acutely aware of the responsibility each one of us has to give something back.
In February 2017 Phill and Thom embarked on a trip to Naples towing an oven and trading their way to the Mecca for pizza devotees. You can read about the trip here. As well as promoting Slow Food and encouraging people to ask questions about what they are eating, the trip also launched the Dusty Knuckle Community venture.
Each month we have committed to working with community groups completely free of charge, using pizza as a gateway to encourage conversation about food. Our mission is simply to get people talking and thinking about where their food is from. We do this through a variety of ways, but needless to say, there is a lot of pizza!!
So far we have worked with a number of groups such as TAVS, The Gate Arts Centre, The Big Lunch and some schools to boot. We will update you on our community work each month.
If you would like us to work with your group, please get in touch.
